Transatlantic Innovation Week Wins Iron A' Design Award

Stefan Maier-Wimmer's Event Series Celebrates Creative Partnerships

The Transatlantic Innovation Week, a brainchild of Stefan Maier-Wimmer and his team, has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award for its exceptional approach in event communication, celebrating the German-American partnership.

Stefan Maier-Wimmer's latest project, the Transatlantic Innovation Week, has made waves in the realm of event communication, securing the Iron A' Design Award in Advertising, Marketing, and Communication Design for 2024. The event series, with its vibrant and innovative design, has been lauded for its ability to encapsulate the spirit of transatlantic partnership and creativity. The key visual, a central element of the series, embodies the unleashed creative potential that the event aims to highlight.

At the heart of the design lies the landing page, which doubles as a storytelling platform through a compelling teaser video. This video, crafted with After Effects and Premiere Pro, weaves together moving images and text animations to narrate the event's theme: creativity unbound. The landing page not only introduces the event but also acts as a calendar, listing all key dates and serving as a hub for participants to engage and promote their own events.

The design team, led by Creative Director Stefan Maier-Wimmer, included talents such as Art Director Sebastian Hudl, Graphic Designer Jana Himmel, and Motion Graphics expert Sabine Glaßl. Together, they created a cohesive and dynamic visual identity that extends from the logo to web interface design, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience. The communication concept invites participation and collaboration, reflecting the event's overarching goal of building bridges between partners.

Transatlantic Innovation Week serves as a beacon for future generations, encouraging them to take risks and innovate in areas crucial for global progress. The event underscores the importance of investing in young talent to foster ideas that can address the world's most pressing challenges. This initiative, supported by the U.S. Embassy and consulates general in Germany, saw over 50 events unfold under the banner of creativity unbound, demonstrating the power of collaborative innovation.

Overcoming the challenge of merging the transatlantic partnership's foundational approach with the event-specific concept was no small feat. The design team succeeded in visualizing the idea of partnership as the overarching message, a testament to their creative and technical prowess. The result is a design that not only communicates the event's message but also inspires action and participation.

The Iron A' Design Award is a testament to the project's excellence, recognizing the practical and innovative aspects of the design that meet professional and industrial standards. This accolade celebrates the design's ability to evoke positive feelings and contribute to a better world, further solidifying the Transatlantic Innovation Week as a milestone in event communication.
